At Fitbit, I led the effort to expand and improve on the platform's social features. We made it easier for users to connect with friends and family by creating an inspiring experience focused on competition and accountability.
I worked with an illustrator to create a reward system of visually stunning trophies and badges. Users immediately began collecting and sharing their accomplishments on social media, which generated encouragement and positive reinforcement.
Within the first month of launch we saw a drastic boost in reengagement and, most importantly, healthier and more active users.
