Apple SmartSign

As a part of the Apple Store 2.0 initiative, paper signs in retail stores were replaced with interactive iPad displays. Teaming up with another art director and a team of developers, we brainstormed, designed, and created SmartSign to help consumers learn more about Apple products through a simple and interactive display.

Since no one was using interactive displays in their stores as of yet, it was a challenge to make these displays intuitive yet easy to use for users of all levels. Two key benefits we added were the abilities to explore products at your own pace and to call an Apple associate over to your location with a tap of a button.

SmartSign was successfully rolled out to all retail stores concurrently and was used in 453 stores in 16 countries.
